LOLER INSPECTION

"Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998"

What is LOLER?

The Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 places duties on people and companies who own, operate or have control over lifting equipment. This includes all businesses and organisations whose employees use lifting equipment, whether owned by them or not.

What equipment is covered by the regulations?

Lifting equipment includes ANY equipment used at work for lifting or lowering loads. This also includes attachments used for anchoring, supporting or fixing. See below for equipment that requires LOLER certifications.

Who is responsible for LOLER inspections?

If you are a lift owner or someone responsible for the safe operation of a lift used at work, such as a facilities manager or supervisor, you are a 'dutyholder' under LOLER.

If you require an inspection urgently, please contact us as soon as possible.
